Stug (Sturmgeschütz III )

Before we get our Brewster (it must be looking good since it does take so long time to model) we could use this.

The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) assault gun.

Model StuG III Ausf. G

Before we get a turretles armored fighting vehicle, the damage model should be tweaked, so that a GV doesn't any longer tilt 30° to one side just because the tracks are broken ;)

The StugIII would be awsome!

I'd perfer some lighter tanks, cuz a bunch of heavy tanks against heavy tanks is just no fun. 1 shot kills and the tiger will end up not being perked and we will just end up with a bunch of uber tanks and won't have any light or medium tanks b/c everyone will b!#ch about how the lighter tanks won't be able to compete with the heavier ones. We should get more lighter tanks like the

M3 stuart
M3 Grant
Panzer III
stug III
Crusader
Carro Armato M13/40
Semovente 75/18
BT7
Somua S-35
Char B1 bis
Type 97 "Shinhoto Chi-Ha"
M4A3 Sherman

Now these are some fun tanks.

Wow, why do the Allies get to have all the fun? First you get all the bombers, now you want all the tanks. Come on, if you want those tanks, let's get more German bombers and the Italian Air Force.

I play on WWIIOL (Battleground Europe) and if HTC models the StuG III G or StuG III B right, I think it would be a desirable add to the game :D

(Maybe the StuG could have 5 perkies) ;)

I would agree that the Axis airforce's have gaps that need to be filled before more GV's are looked at. I would like to see the ME-410  :rock

That's got to be the one of the smallest gaps in the Axis planeset :D
Though I would love it :D

Now these are some fun tanks.

No matter how many "light" tanks you add vs. heaver tanks, they still will not be "viable" due to what is already out there.

M-8s are fun.

What needs to be done to make a turretless assault gun a useful option is to make roads a necessity and penalize cross country travel.  Make off-road travel slower and subject to breakdowns and getting stuck.

Make roads travel beneficial and you can set up ambushes and roadblocks where an assault gun would be useful in shooting and scooting and traverse wouldn't be as necessary.  Make travelling off the beaten path troublesome so as to discourage it other than in dire situations.
