Aircraft weapon elevation

On some of the aircraft, 110 for example, Just like you have weapon converage i wish for weapon elevation. Done on bomber interceptors so they can fly under bombers without belly defence and take them out without having the trouble of the tail gunner. I'm sure the Japanese done the same thing.

Sounds like you are talking about Schragg Musik, guns fixed to fire forward and up at a 45 degree angle.  Yes, the Japanese used it too, but we have no German or Japanese aircraft in AH that were equipped with it at this time.  Some Bf110s were, but not G-2s to the best of my knowledge.

Otherwise, convergence distance = weapon elevation.  The further out convergence is, the higher the weapon fires close in so as to make all the bullets come together straight and level that far out.  

Not as much elevation as you are looking for, however.

Actually the typical angle was 70° for Schräge Musik, not 45°. Was used on nightfighters exclusively.



And even in that role it would be less efficient in AH due to lag.

If your in a 110 just climb up to them and pop them.

It wouldn't affect the guns as such.

But while perfectly under the Lanc on your screen, you may l be far enough behind the Lanc player on his screen, so that he still is able to get me with the tail gun.





Being an european player with a higher lag, I was often hit by Lanc tail guns during belly attacks that seemed to be impossible on my front end for that very reason.

That is a Ki-46, not a Ki-45.

Didn't know the Japanese ever did that with a Dinah. Still a gorgeous airplane, even "impalled" with that 37mm.
