I have read the flight manual on the SR-71....
Some of the warnings would make your head spin. Things like unstarts and a very very very (did I mention very) specific window of AoA. It was something like 3 or 4 degrees at high altitude/high mach settings. Its interesting to note that several SR-71s were lost from "uncontrollable pitch up" because of this. The do not exceed speed approached 3.3 mach at some altitudes. I believe the aircraft has been even faster than the records show.
