Film of me offline doing a little test of the N1K2. I hauled it 180 degrees at 300mph, funny how it only dumped 50mph even though I was blacked out most of the turn

The F4U has a 3 bladed prop, hence my comment.  Airframe drag is a factor, but this test does nothing to isolate that.  Once you get down into the low speed range, the major component of total drag is induced drag.
