Pyro, in fact, if you look at my stats from Tour5 onwards you will see that my arena time is spent mostly in 190s. And A5s for that matter. A little of A8, too. Some G10 sorties, some lost G2 sorties, even one or two G6 sorties. But A5 mostly. I am a dedicated Fw190A pilot, I love the A5 (Even when it has lost most of its teeth with 1.04 acceleration fix), and as I said a lot of times I will never fly in MA a plane to prove any point. F4U1-Cs are for me boring. A plane that shreds anything that touches is for me boring (sorry for all those who find this remark a whine. I find Hispanos twice the powerful that Mausers.Maybe is realistic, or maybe is my subsconscient that makes me feel it, but I DO feel like it).
I only flew F4U1-c in Air to air role when 1.04 came out and only because I could not kill with anything else due the new FMs. One sortie, 4 kills. Not bad for someone who could not hit a white elephant at that time, let alone kill anything, isnt it?... The other sorties in Chog were all A-G ones against fields, died to acks (I am terrible against acks, ask StSanta, the other day I attacked a VH with only one ack up in a 190A5, and it got me), and to CAP.
But the only time I used it for pure air to air I got 4 kills and RTB-d safely.

"Numbers don't tell even half the story".Moot point any way. As I said from the start I dont try to prove anything. I dont say the FM is right or wrong. To "feel" that something is not right proofs nothing, I understand that more data is needed before taking the time and the work to fix something that can be correct and so, need no fix. I voted "yes" because I keep on seeing F4Us doing incredible reversals,and I raise 15Kills with it against Niks, Spits and Yaks in a H2H environment (take off, kill kill kill, with no E-building time).
Yesterday I got 13 Kills with a Zeke in one H2H session (no round problems this time as the host had put a x5 multiplier to the rounds)...then I left it and changed of H2H.
Came into another H2H (with the terrain with the two big hills one in front of the another with VH in the middle). x1 rounds this time.
There was a Ostie in the Vh so I got a F4U1-C with bombs to kill it, but when I reached the spot he was already dead. I dropped the bombs to kill the VH (And failed miserably

) and started to fight. 15Kills. when I ran out of ammo I tried to return to base and land (I had damage on one aileron) but for the time being everyone was trying to get me and kill me. And they got it

I upped again with an A5 and I got only a 4 kill streak with it...

. Simply I could not repeat the vertical moves I was doing in the F4U with the Fw190 (apart of that nik that got two 150yard solid bursts of 20mm hits...and was still flying when I fell out of the sky...that didnt happen in the Chog, either) ...and it is supposed that with its better acceleration the Fw190 should fare a bit better than F4U on the vertical,regarding E-keeping isnt it?.
Well, it isnt.
Again, can be my biased subconscient that makes me feel this way. But I felt that it was not quite right. I can be mistaken? . Sure I can be. The fact that a RAM hunting was on didnt help either

. But I saw clearly that I could NOT keep my E up like I was doing before on the Chog.
Anyway I started this thread to know how many people does feel like I do regarding the F4U1-C, that was the reason why I asked only for a Yes or No. This was intended to be nothing but that, a poll.
