there is just too damn many to list....

Well yeah.  Unless you're some monolithic twit, you can't have just one favorite movie. Or one favorite anything for that matter. Paradoxically, the more you try to decide which movie is your favorite, the longer your personal list will get. ;)

The first starship troopers was great you got boobs and violent death, give the man some credit.

For boobs and violent death I recommend Rise of the Footsoldier.

Lot of good lists here, but I have to give a nod to Ink for The Patriot, the Mel Gibson one, not the Steven Segal one.  Haven't seen that movie in years, gonna have to find a copy.
To each their pwn.

Gran Torino.

Gran Torino? How do you figure? I found the acting lacking by nearly everyone... and the plot could have been handled better. But the story line was good. Shame, really, it had great potential.

A lot of great movies to pick from.  Some that I feel are classics.....

Star Wars (the original 3)
The Longest Day
Battle of Britian....... "Repeat please."
Blazing Saddles....... "Excuse me while I whip this out" and "Hey!  Where are all the white women at?"
Monty Python (Holy Grail)
The Great Escape (Steve McQueen of course)
Gone in 60 seconds (The original.)
The Blues Brothers......."It's 102 miles to Chicago.  We've got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of butts, it's dark out and we're wearing sunglasses."

And this is the short list.

I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith.
