Wanna bet on next uber planes to be modeled ?
« on: October 23, 2000, 02:00:00 PM »
I have 6 pack of beer saying that following planes will be modeled ( out of the pyro's line up )

Ta 152 ( cause dora was done before in all other sims and EVERY LW dweeb in any sim always whined about having that one ... boy, are they gonna hate life )

Tempest V - same as above. Spit 14 already in WB - this one would be a newbie - and a hot rod at that.

P51H or P47M - same as above - cause nobody has it yet

Let's face it... HTC has been going down the list of "i want this plane" of all the sims and they had lot of success with it.

If they going do uberbirds - why do those that already have been done ?

PS: I still want spitfire XIV

Ta 152H-1 instead of Fw 190D-9 would be poetic justice. I like it.

The board will implode when people discover what a dog the Ta 152 was at arena altitudes.

What was Ta 152H-1 wingloading ?

Gun package ?

What was it exact speed on the deck with all available boosts ?

Was it heavier than the Dora ?

Yeah then we will see who the real LW pilots are and not those who just want to play as one.

People what they never had. In this case the Ta152. To their surprise they will find that it was slower than the Dora down low.  If they want the advantage then they will have to stay above 15k. Yeah right...

            Ta152H-1            Dora-9
                                (w/MW 50)
Max speed
sea level:   332 mph            357 mph
             350 mph(MW boost)

30000 ft.    465 mph(MW boost)  397 mph

21000 ft.     Unknown           426 mph

Ok the Dora-9 speeds are with MW 50 boost.  As you can see, the Dora is 7 mph faster than the Ta152 when both are using MW 50 boost.  I presume the Dora would be faster also when both were not using boost.  And you guys want a Ta152? Come on.  Germany developed it to combat the HIGH ALTITUDE bombers and fighters.  Most fights in the arena are on the deck.

Aw, crap, this stupid board.  Anyway, the Dora was 357mph and the Ta152 was 350 mph on the deck both using MW 50 boost.

Both of which can be easily ran down by spit 14 p51 and g10 anywhere below 20k

Funk is right.. anyone looked at the climbrates of those planes down low ?
Yeah... i thought so...

I think statistic for 152 to 20k stated 7 minutes range   That's comaralble to Spitfire 5 folks ;D

fscott; Fw 190D-9 with MW 50 does about 380mph at S/L, and maximum 440mph at 18,600ft.

fd ski; still think you can run down the Fw 190D-9 with MW 50 below 20k?

Btw: Powerloading is about 4.4lbs/HP at S/L - which Spitfire does that figure compare to? How fast did it climb at S/L?

Unload and head for the deck. Any Spit will be left behind. Always works in 190s, that's what I know

Fscott, actually the Dora was 357 mph without MW 50, and 380 mph with MW 50.
