Before you go flaming someone over the forums it is best to have some idea what you are talking about. Bozo is a great guy an an excellent squaddie. i don't think he was judging him as a person in REAL LIFE

He's lucky to get on maybe two times a week because his job as a Police Officer causes him to work odd hours. i am proud he is a cop and protects his community but i don't think newz was saying he was a bad cop

He doesn't have time to become "Uber" or "Elite" like you seem to think you are. i don't believe he was saying he was the better pilot i believe he was saying he would have wanted to find out

this post in gen. is kind of stupid but post like this get started all the time and most don't think about what they are saying or how they have worded it. i have know newz aka LTARsoup for many many years. i know his intentions here was not meant in a bad way, however it happen to come across that way.

I wouldn't have blown my altitude trying to follow. Sounds like a bad case of target-tunnel-vision to me.

I like to get up high in my spit8 and keep playing defense against the Mustangs until they lose their advantage and dive out while I continue to climb. I consider that a small victory (since I don't get too many real victories!) Chasing them won't do me any good, but I send out plenty of check 6's to the friendlies below so that they can be ready to trap them on the deck.

He's not trying to make the other guy look like a fool?  You need to re-read his post.

To break it down even a step further, why are people so convinced they are going to die that they need to run so far?

Just because you're at a disadvantage at that moment doesn't necessarily mean you can't get out of it at some point, some how.

Extend, reverse, climb, roll, hit the brakes and let 'em fly right by.     The apparent self perceived lack of skill leaves running to ack, or friends, as the only alternative to actually trying to defend one's self.

Conversely, there are some "run to the ack" situations I feel are legitimate.  Just taking off and high cons all about?  Stay in the ack and try to climb. (Or, sneak away and climb).

Diving 15K and running to the ack is just silly.
