I'm not so sure about that. I have photos of both MiG-5 prototypes, and there are some significant differences. The MiG-5 had a considerable sweep to the leading edge of its wing, and a different landing gear design (and wheel well doors too). I don't know what this is, but it doesn't look like the aircraft in my photos.

Hold on a minute... I just found a third copy of the above photo and the caption reads "Ta-1". Apparently, there is little significant difference.

TA-3 it is

I wouldnt know if that is BIS or not - Photo reads simple TA-3, but who knows????

And there is something else:
Prototype was called OKO-6 BIS and was a difference between final TA-3.
OKO-6 BIS and TA-3
Engine 2 x M88 / 2 x M89
Armament 4 x ShVAK + 2 X BS / 1 x 37 mm + 2 x ShVAK

That was the middle changes of OKO-6 in evolution stage to TA-3

At first OKO-6 was much different, but unfortunatly I dont have any data on that regard.

Specs of TA-3

VVS receiving this A/C from 1942
Wingspan 14.0 m
Lenght 12.20 m
Height 3.60 m
Wing sq m 33.50 m2
Weight: empty 4450 kg
        takeoff 6626 kg
Power plant 2 x M89
HP 2 x 1150
Max speed s/l 448 kmh
Max speed at alt 595 kmh
Max range 2065 km
Max climb rate 482 m/min
Ceilling 11000 m
Crew of 1
Weapons 1 x 37 mm + 2 x ShVAK

I understood you have TA-1 photo? Can I have it please?
