I have been getting some gimbal lock using the forward 5 inch guns on the cruiser in F3+F8 view...occurs typically if you pan yourself under the boat to look up and traverse your view as well.
Also have experienced some displacement issues on returning to F1 after an F3+F8 gimbal lock...That is to say my POV is no longer in the gun, despite that I have obviously returned to F1 mode. In these cases I am above and behind the gun, though not in an F3 sense, and the gun ranging text is visible in the upper left like normal F1.
The only resolution has been to reboot the game.
Ending the mission and then re-spawing does not correct the issue.
Not a big deal, I have learned to avoid it.
