people are already inclined to either farm for points as it is. . .I think some people are a little too obscessed with e-fame.  TBH, some good pvp and a solid squad is all I'm looking for, but to each their own.

I guess its how the person works for those kills. You have the score horders and the player who are always just looking for the next fight. You can brag all you want about your score and how many markings you got last sortie, but whats the point if you know they were all vulches or lame picks. For those who actually work for their kills players can use to compete with squadies or something like that.

Skip the idea of putting them on the AC in game, but simply put them on the clipboard roster.

Right after the name you could add (xxx) [xxx]. ( ) for the current number of kills someone has without being shot down followed by brackets [ ] for their longest streak ever. :)

Some players would live for having the highest streak. Jeeze, some of these guys I have in mind would have a mini stroke if things went badly after running up a streak if they were near some kind of record.  :rofl Also might adversely effect the game play with more running and picking.

Would not change the way I play of course since I do that anyway. ;)

every 6 months could be as much as 6000 kills or more... ;)

On the other hand, having the tail all white from 6000 markings would finally allow them to be spotted at all during combat

Valid argument... Make it every time your plane goes down, they reset. You bail, you lose 'em. You ditch, you lose 'em. etc... And snail, I don't even think you're good enough to not die at least once in a tour...  :lol

need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

No, I'm not. Not coming even close enough, and that's a good thing. Extended killstreaks tend to make me nervous.
When my longest streak ever found his end by a well aimed 30mm tater, I was much more relieved then frustrated.

I remember reading somewhere that kill markings worked similar to tally marks.  Earn more than 10, the marking has a red border (highlighted markings = 10 kills per marking) or something like that.  So, in theory you may look like a multicolor zebra.  :D

:noid I agree with a lot of your posts about effects, but still believe the biggest impact would simply be the number of screen shots taken by individuals.  Vain, but I can't see where it harms anyone other than the person who has a hard drive full of vanity shots.

Another alternative to the already mentioned streaks and ratios would be K/D. A 1:1 K/D would give you 1 kill mark, etc. Of course, a downside is that this may be yet another incentive to avoid hard fights.
