CV Repair
« on: May 07, 2009, 03:53:01 PM »
This started in another thread, but thought it deserved it's own, does anyone know what the time frame on CV repair is?  Like how long it takes for a CV that's been damaged to fully repair itself, or is there something like 1k of ord damage repaired every 5min or something?

Wrong. It does. You will get back radar, guns like any ordinary airfield. Hull damage is being restored gradually likewise.

A TG will even get a sunken cruiser back if the CV survives long enough.

Can you resupply a CV with a C-47 or something?

How long?

You can not resupply.

I think (actually I'm pretty sure) a sunken secondary ship needs 2h to come back.

Ok, I just took a look at default arena object settings. Default downtime for "ship" (=secondary ships) is 60 minutes.

Sunk cruisers and escorts regain every 45 min.  Mannable guns are like field guns.  They regain every 15 min.  The CV does regain over time but for the life of me I can't work out the time frame.  The dar stays down the longest...over 3 hrs but auto acks and auto puffy I have no idea.

I was beginning to suspect the CV was some how tagged to the zone strat but again I have no real idea.

Mannable Guns  15 mins down time
AI guns 1 hour
Cruiser/Destroyers sunk  for 1 hour
Radar 1 hour (if you have the port, if not then 3 hours)
CV bomb damage toward sinking, i think its repaired every 15 mins(like hanger on fields)

You'll find this is wrong.  Next time 1 of your cv is hit set a timer for 1 hr.  Its like its tagged to the city strat.  Not saying it is just pointing out the time scale.
