no checks this year. you're just getting a few extra bucks in your paycheck each week.

of which you'll pay back more than double next year.

Making $7.40 an hour, being disabled, and a full-time college student, getting any extra income is gladly welcomed.

Jerk.

Is that better?

Let me get this straight.

You make $7.40 an hour, are disabled, and a full-time student.

Do you actually pay any net taxes?

If not, why should you get any "extra income" (as you like to call it)?

I'm disabled myself and your allowed to make money with a part-time job up to a certain amount, the more you make on your part time job though, the less you get in disability, it's been awhile since I knew what the amounts exactly where but I think it's something like up to $3000 you still get your full disability, anything above that you get less & less in disability.

Now I don't have any part time job so I get my full disability, which actually isn't all that much since I became disabled at 19, so I had only about 3 years of working to put into Social Security, but I'm getting $250 from the stimulus package which I'm grateful for because when the Bush stimulus happened I didn't get any of that.

It's also based on family size, like a family of 4 can make up to say 29,000 and still get all of their federal back.  Not sure what the # is, but several years ago we were over the magic # by less than $100 and only got a small % of the money back.

YA....that same thing is going to cost a lot of people more too.......the little extra they get in their paychecks will push them up to the next tier......and they'll end up with more being taken out of their checks. or ownig more at the end of the year.

My MIL got her check last week.  She was all happy about it.  Then I explained to her that her daughter and I would be the ones paying that debt back.  She stopped bringing it up.   :D

She's on SSI and she already got hers?  I get direct deposit and I'm still waiting, I just got the letter about a week & a half ago.
