Spitfire LFIXe. Only difference from an LFXVIe would be the small rudder on this one. Same wing and hard points. Merlin 66
Full span wing Spitfire LFIXe. Again identical to the LFXVIe but with a Rolls Royce Merlin 66 instead of a Packard Merlin 266
Ahh the evil Spitfire LFXVIe with clipped wings, Merlin 266 but identical to a Spitfire LFIXe
Spitfire XII, just cause it's my favorite
Spitfire LFIXe supplied to the Russians. Identical to the LFXVIe outside of the engine maker
Full span wing Spitfire LFIXe with the same hardpoints etc of the XVIe and identical performance
Clipped wing Spitfire LFIXe of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. She's a D-Day vet
Put this one in for Kev. Spitfire LFVIIIc with clipped wings. Merlin 66 vs the 266 of the LFXVIe
And an exampe of some of the few Spitfire LFXVIe that had full span wings.
Bottom line is the Spitfire LFXVIe and the Spitfire LFIXe are identical with only the location of the engine production giving them a different designation as the engine performance was the same.
