KARNAK cool list, but I personaly dont think we should perk the Me 163 due too it lack of fuel, and it is not an Uber plane. The Me 163 could see some use in Airfield scrambling vs Bombers. But due too its limited fuel, it will most likely not be that effectiv vs figthers. And flying the Me 163 is for crazy pilots only (and they seldom have alot of Perk point, lol like me  :D )

And if Spit 14 should be perked, then the Fw190 Dora should also be perked. I think both the Dora and the Spit 14 reached frontline service abt the same time.

Type: Fw 190D-9

Type: Spitfire Mk. XIV

Wutz,

I agree with you in regards to the Me163's performance against fighter, but my concern was that it would make defense against bombers too easy.  You wouldn't have to plan on scrabling ahead of time because you could be a 30,000ft in two minutes.  It would make casual defense against bombers too easy and people would cease to be concerned about an inbound bomber.  Laz might like it as a freebie though.  ;)

The Spitfire MkXIV was in service well before the Fw190D-9, before the P-51D too actually.  It was in service at squadron strength on January 4th, 1944 and flew operation starting in March.  The Fw190D-9 wasn't in squadron service until, I believe, September, 1944.  The reason that I think the Spitfire XIV should be perked is because of what it would do to the MA, not due to anything historical.  The Spitfire is too well suited to the MA style of play, and a Griffon Spit would eliminate the need for a lot of other fighters if it were unrestricted.

Ok the Spit.14 is one hell of a Figther no doubt abt that. And it would most likely be a nr1 choice. I think AH now have come to a crossroad. With the increasing number of planes beeing added, this sort of thing needs too be clarified.

First of all, the Fw190 Dora is one mean machine. I dont think spit fliers fell it is fair if they have too use Perk points too fly the Spit 14 vs the non Perk Dora. And now the 1942 Spit 9 is pitched Against the 1944 Fw"Dora".

Perhaps we instead of a Perk system, we could use a Roling Plane Set? Or HT could release more Late war planes like the 109K-4, La9/11, Yak-3, Fw190 D-12 (I am not sure if the version in AH is a D-9 but I think so),BearCat, Shinden etc.

Just an idea though, so dont hate me

If 4-buffs box formations are implemented in 1.09 (I would really like this, as far as a realistic norden and bomb damage is implemented - meaning big craters and no 30k+ accurate drops) I don't think Komet should be perked. I think they would be a nice addition, and possibly the only way to effectively stop a 4+ players big box.

Cheers,

Pepe
