Saturday night slugfest
« on: May 15, 2009, 08:36:09 AM »
im trying to put together a squad V squad event. it will have to be squads of equal numbers will go against each other at contiguous bases. you will only be able to up from your assigned base and there will be certain limits and rules in place. the idea is to capture the other guys base using any means available. this includes bombers, fighters and gv's. we will use bases with equi-distant spawn points and everything will be fair.

i will keep track of the winners and we can have some sort of champion at the end. nows a good chance to challenge a group and find out how good they really are using EQUAL numbers!

this will be a game of tactics and intelligence and skill, not just brute force. i am trying to set it up for the AVA on saturday nights because that seems to be a good night for doing things. All squads are welcome to participate. events would probably starts around sometime between 9-11pm EST.

let me know how you feel about it, and if there are any takers! thanks

its not pilot V pilot, its squad v squad, my idea incorporates, tactics and skill, not just who's a better pilot.

there are guys that are good pilots. there are guys that are good tankers, there are guys that are good bombers, this would use everyones strengths in a team effort.

put everyone on a level playing field and hopefully the guys with better tactics will win!

SDL is just a basic furball with a winning team. this uses all around tactics and makes it more interesting!

Was thinking something like that for the AVA last nightI think also. Maybe even 2squads vs 2 squads.  Would take cooperation between CO's to get things started though. SDL is 2 squads ,10k cold merge and furball. This I think would be using the whole map air,and ground.IMO
