DO 335 (two of them, looking superimposed on an existing photo).

Ludendorf Bridge, Remagen Germany, February 1945.

summonabidge!   :)

Well. That lasted all of several minutes. It looked so real that I figured it would have sparked some imaginations and raised a few eyebrows here and there  :)

While my P-80 pic from my last Name This was so real looking that I figured I could get away with it for a few days maybe.

Damnit. I have got to remember to use the "Widewing Wave-off" request next time again  ;)

Nah Westy, I knew the answer within 3 seconds of looking at it myself  :) I'm just slow at checking the board lately.

The DO335 is unmistakeable, and there are alot of pictures of Remagen out there.  Plus the "edit" is too blurred/light gray to go with the rest of the picture.

Nice try though  :D

I doubt you'd find a Pfeil flying around at 100ft AGL  ;) It's a very interesting plane. Doesn't really have any place in a WW2 sim though. There is a model of it you can import for CFS2 that is pretty cool.

:P  to all of ya.

BTW, I found the pic but I can't claim to have made it.

I'm finding it strange that the DO-335 did not see combat. There are many theories and "wag's" that it did during part of the trial/testing phases but nothing conrete at all. No reports whatsoever by Allied or Axis pilots. All ideas that it saw combat are pure speculation.  I just can't figure why the LW could have that plane at it's disposal for almost a year and not have used it. It had TA-152 production numbers and even TA 152's as well as HE-162's saw some[i/] combat.

On odd duck that DO-335 was.

I heard that the Do-335 suffered from propeller interface problems. I understand what this means, but what did it do in terms of flight performance? how did it affect this a/c? thanks.
