Well I noticed there were about 17 people in the AvA so I decided to pop in. Set-up was Okinawa 1945. So i hop in a Ki-84. I engage someone and wind up killing them after a hard fight. So i continue on and see a Spit 8. We merge and he doesn't fire (
), neither do I and we progress into a fight. I get guns early on, only giving him a fuel leak. The fight still progresses into a good ole 1v1. My virtual life came to an end after yet another good, long, hard fought 1v1. The victor....Dedalos. We get to chatting, he compliments me and we decide to go at it again. Twice more did we fight, and twice more I got my arse handed to me on a silver platter. But these were good fights, folks. Something I haven't really found in a while. And they were fun! It wasn't the usual MA spit vs la7/51/n1k HO fest...matter of fact I never even got HOed. Was quite a relief. After Dedalos RTBed I upped again and instantly got into a fight with another spit 8. No HOs, and nice hard stall fighting, the way I like it. I dispatch him and progress on to engage another spit, kill it, and move on. My last kill of the sortie was another good fight between Cavalier's 38 and my Ki-84. Being newer to the 38 Cav tried hard and actually did well. He put up a great fight.
So what's that? A total of 5-6 good 1v1s?
If you aren't getting your fill of good fights in the MAs, I highly suggest you to pop in the AvA and give it a try if a few people are there.
