The C.202 to come, thx SUPERFLY
« on: January 25, 2000, 11:53:00 AM »
She is a C.202 from 75th Squadron, 3rd Stormo, Tunisia 1943. She was armed with 2x12,7mm and 2x7,7mm and her "angry wasp" sting on the white band

I'm really happy when the on-line community can learn more about less known WWII fighters. I'd like to do the same with some French, IJAF and RAF kites.

P.S.: Superfly are you trying to get hired from Ferrari or Pininfarina?

No, I like my job, but maybe I can get a free Ferrari?

I knew you'd dig the new c202.  Thanks for the references!

Will we have the 2x12.7 and 2x7.9 version? That would be ok!

gatt, which "lesser-known" planes would you like to see - your "list" please.

British:
Beaufighter
Lancaster

Typhoon/Tempest

Japanese:
Ki-61/100 "Tony"

There's some twin-engined fighter-bombers that would be good I'm sure.

Dolomite,
I'm pretty sure HTC will model both version. From the 7th Series all C.202's got the 2x7,7mm.

Thanx Gatt!

The Fiat G55 was supposedly a very good interceptor, combining speed with firepower. I'm sure it was a maneuverable bird too.

Exactly what I mean is, since V.82 (CK), I've asked HT and Pyro for the P61 Black Widow...now get in the back of the line!

I THINK Rip means he wants that venerable night fighter and all around baddass the P-61 Interceptor.  Which I can honestly say I would like to see also.  But first... P38 P38 P38 P38 (repeat many times promiscuosly)...   The C-202, If memory serves me, was actually better than the 205 in turn rate and kill ratio.  So if I'm wrong, Rip gets the 61.  But if I'm right, I get the 38 AND the 61 before that cheesy wine burner.
