Forum Improvment through the Sticky...

Can we sticky a few of these threads that are for planes commonly asked for and extensively discussed?  Might reduce the number of NEW thread/requests for previously requested planes.

Actually y'know what... screw that idea... just sticky the long B-29 thread here so that everyone can gravitate toward it and we can avoid the 20-odd new B-29 threads each month.
 


But seriously, I can think of the He-111, Beaufighter, and A-26 threads as good examples of long threads that might fall under this idea.




EDIT:  (I checked...  sadly, 7 of the top 48 (almost 15% ) replied-to threads are B-29 related.... and thats just the TOP REPLIED, I can't imagine how many smaller requests we get that clog up the forum)

I like this idea..... But we must be careful.  In our Squad forum, there is only room for about 9 threads, all the rest are stickies.  So it would increase the chance of a good thread falling to page 2 fast.

You do realize that you can set the number of threads per page to be up to 100, right?

Yup..........  We have 91 stickies.

I agree, this would need to be fairly limited... and threads would need to have a high level of activity (or stupidity, i.e. b-29) to make the sticky mark... and if the subject ever makes it into the game (as many will), then unsticky it and let it go.


PS.  I have to admit, I was surprised that this thread was not flamebaited.  Glad there are those out there seeing the same issues I am with the clutter.

B-29 thread has inspired me to bump my own thread and risk the flaming!

PLEASE PLEASE a B-29 sticky thread.  16 threads in 2 pages is absurd.
