Sound Stutter
« on: May 23, 2009, 11:20:26 PM »
I've tried both with and without soundpacks, and have noticed alot of sound stutters.  At times when it gets bad, planes start warping.
I have a rather decent system.  New vid card , cpu, mobo, 4gigs ram etc

I am using the onboard sound.  The newest Realtek chipset.  Was trying to avoid using my Audigy 2zs.

Any suggestions?  Only happens in AH2.

have you tried turning down hardware acceleration in DXDiag?

Really ought to use a separate sound card, onboard sound sapps the CPU which affects performance

A DXDIAG output would be helpful right about now.

Why? From what I've heard that's one of the best sound-cards Creative ever made.

Yeah, you might want to try reducing sound hardware acceleration at least one notch to see if that helps you out some. The DxDiag output would also be useful.
