"What about a 2cm Flakvierling 38 auf Selbstfahrlafette (Sd.Kfz.7/1)?"

It would have a life expediency so bad as to make the M16 look good.At least the M16 is armored and can fire on the move, this flakwagon cant fire on the move is is virtually unarmored.

otoh the FV 38 20mm has a range slightly shorter then then the 37mm on the Ostwind.

The M-16 should have a greater range then it does in the game, but oh well

S!

No perking of Osty.I just can't get hits on anything with that thing?!It is much easier to hit with M16.Maybe I need a new sight to Osty?

Perk it. "Spawn osties" is the call out and once done, capture is virtually impossible unless you go with chogs for attack.

How many of these were produced and saw combat? 30?

And, it is *clearly* über compared to its counterpart, the M16. Just look at the stats.

I realize that you Hispano equipped dweebs may not complain, but consider us LW's; we can dealwith vastly inferior vcanons in the air, but against ground vehicles, the'yre UTTERLY USELESS if the vehicle is an ostie or a panzer.

Our 50 kg eggs can hit an ostwind *directly* without resulting in a hit.

Perk it. Now.

If it's perked, it's going to be a drain of vehicle points - I'm not sure of the exact total, but there's been times I've bagged 6-8 fighters, and only received 2 or so points.

Why not address the open-top issue first (as I would expect the new damage modeling will do) before perking it.

I'd also be comfortable losing the range icon on gv's when looking at them from the air.  Leave the icon for friendlies but not for enemy, much like it is for tank to tank now.

That would make it easy to differentiate between sides, but give gv's (including PT boats) a bit of camoflauge back that the blazing icon takes away.

I understand M3/M16's would be hard to see, but they are green vehicles and would be keeping to any cover they could find.

Cheers

PS - guess which one fighter I've lost my 37mm gun to most often on their first pass - the Zeke.
