key issues on vista OS
« on: May 31, 2009, 04:22:42 PM »
Well I'm having slight problems with running AH on this computer:

-Zoom keys for the map function are not functioning at all.
-Unable to drop down the text buffer with the "~" key

Several others but not that big of a deal. Anyway i can possibly fix the stated above problems?

Thanks!

I have Vista also and had to set the "end" key to expand the text buffer and for zooming views i must use the backslash key (\) to zoom out and the right bracket key (]) to zoom in.  Remapping will not work for these 3 keys.

I got it fixed. Just installed AH to another directory other than /Programs.

Many things will go wrong if you install the game in the "Program Files" folder under Vista and Windows 7.

I don't understand why people have problems with Vista. I have never had one issue with it and AH. Guess I'm just a lucky sucker. (knocks on fake wood desk)

I followed the instructions and installed to C:\Games\ and have had none of the above issues.  So it's an easy fix.

You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.
