Not sure where you guys get your info, but everything I've read says he was found partially clothed hanging from his neck in a closet with his hands tied.

Doesn't sound like suicide or erotic asphixia to me.  Some of you guys sure seem to have active imaginations, and some of you guys jumping to say he had it coming sure are quick to condemn someone based on rumors spread by people who make money making up rumors about celebrities.

Police later said the actor may have died from accidental suffocation or heart failure after revealing that he was found with a rope tied around his wrist, neck and genitals — leading to speculation that Carradine may have engaged in a dangerous form of sex play known as auto-erotic asphyxiation.

The 'pictures' that may or may not be him have a body suspended from above but the feet are on the floor.

Quite a few news agencies stated he had the homemade noose wrapped around his neck and his genitals. Suddenly, they stopped reporting that... his publicist denied the suicide allegation, but said nothing to refute the strange method.

Anybody ever see that movie he was in?  Kind of a mix between "Cannonball Run" and "Mad Max"?  Totally weird and disturbing.

I have plenty of compassion.  I have compassion for guys getting dead in hot, sandy places serving their country.  I have compassion for cops getting shot out on the streets protecting the public.  I have compassion for someone like Tony Snow who get whacked by some illness out of their control while at the top of the personal and professional game.

I don't have much sypathy for self-endulgent celeberty types who piss away a life thru carelessness or stupidity. Do I have to list them all?

If it helps you any, think of it as making fun more of the stupid act than the person.

You say tragic, I say stupid.  Perhaps we can compromise?

Stupid tradegy?  Hmmmm no.

How about tragically stupid?

Police and military doing thier job rounding up or killing to defend people is one thing. IF he was doing what they originally said [there are some conflicting reports], who was he hurting but himself. Its tragic that he lost his life and it is also tragic that he MAY have lost it doing what they said he was doing. YOU however make it sound as if he was a criminal that deserved what he got.

Perhaps you should look up the meaning of compassion.

Maybe there censoring the news now, but it was widely publicized in the day after he died by the AP that he was found dead with the rope around his neck and genitals, so I don't think it was just rumors by people trying to make money.

Sounds more like a whacko murder to me.  MAYBE suicide or some hooker or pimp turned on him and killed him, but that's still a pretty weird stretch of an out of control imagination.

One of those should work, both AP supported.

Wacko murder? Perhaps, but if someone else was involved it is safe to say (with available information) that he volunteered for the event.
