Looking at a some info on the Tempest V, as I understand it, it has a wing loading 44.8 lb./sq/ft (the Tempest mk I has 37.4 lb.sq.ft).
Can I erk out another 1 m.p.h, flight records indicate 436 m.p.h at 18,500 hehehe
but around 430mph is average.
Of the other Tempest models,
the mk I at 472 mph @approx 18,000 (prototype)
the mk II at 442 mph @15,200
the mk VI at 438 mph @17,800 (wing load 45.5)
Roll rate on Mk V 80 deg/sec (50 pound stick force)
Based on Unit claims, Tempests destroyed 7 Me262 (+2 damaged). They did however claim 115 Fw 190s (+3 damaged).
