325th Checkertails
« on: June 13, 2009, 12:34:50 AM »
Good fight over A11. Right in the middle of the bomber formation almost the entire time and very intense. Couldn't tell when the tracers zipping past me were from the Buffs we were defending or your 190s. :D

 :salute
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

:salute from a guest Checkertail flying with 'em during FSO.

I don't fly the 190 often, but had a good time shooting at all the red guys.  After the initial engagement, I chased 2 lone bombers (one which I got the engine oil smoking) and lost my right aileron while trying to inflict more damage.  I RTB for more fuel and ammo, and made it to the end of the night - and got to engage a last-minute 2nd strike from 3 buffs and 4-6 P-38's.

Was a good time, for sure.
