A pair of dykes will snip the end right off of that coax, or you could do it with some cutters.
then it will go all the way down for you.
Best part is if you ever need it again, it will be patiently laying right there under the hole, and you or the cable company can crimp on a new end. (and yes, I know I could have taken this farther, but skuzzy may be watching...)
