you should think this one over again. there is more then the FBs. most of the nits run missions with in their squads and do really well

Yes this is true. Saw many many missions of 4 to 5 guys all over the place.

BTW, Noticed that WMlute gets them pointed in the right direction while not necessarily running a mission. Although he did put one up to get the ball rolling.

Saw many FBs. Somehow I thought they were rooks and use to work with the Nightmares back in the day.

I have not run into POTW mission as much as maybe FB's (not to say POTW don't).  And I don't hear about POTW missions as much as FB's.

This is very true.  The Pigs rarely setup a country wide mission.  The POTW usually operates independent of other Knights players on a specific objective or set of objectives.  We will coordinate at squad level at times with great folks like the C-Hawks & 68th( :salute).

Perhaps, but the frequency of such missions and organizational attributes are far in between as the Bishops.  For example, SE's do their landgrab at the same time the BOP's, Jokers, 31st will do theirs, stretch rook, nights thin in defending (sometimes not at all) then pick up land.

However when concentrated, nits and rooks defend well.

Never went into the mission planner to get it all started.  I got the ball rolling by just announcing an 'impromptu' mission on country, told 'em where to up from, typed what I needed in the way of bombs/gv's, and asked a couple squads for help.  It started with only 5-8 players heading to a field in hvy jabo birds.  Our target was a field where we were out #'d that was close to our HQ.

After the first capture we split our forces up and were hitting two, sometimes three bases at once.  The very capable 68th squad took it upon themselves to strike at a very difficult base that was a sector and a half ish out with no GV spawn ins.  The wonderfull AK squad went to another field for a flanking maneuver, and a large group of knits attacked a third base that was closest to our fields and the "logical" field to be attacking.

The WM's supported the 3rd group, then went to help out the AK's.  The 68th got their base (the toughest of the 3) and we then captured the last few bases in the "chain" while the AK's spear headed another strike at a new "chain" of fields.

It really was neat watching all the various Knight squads and players working so well together and taking base after base "in your face" style.  Kudos to all that participated.  When I logged for the night we had captured 10+ fields and had a blast doing it.

Not surprised to hear.  We do not conduct the sort of high profile everybody all aboard type missions that the FB leadership do.  Usually somewhere between 5-15 Pigs and that is about it.  Capturing bases is about 20-30% of our effort as a squad.  The rest of the time it is fighter sweeps, gv runs, defensive ops, or just generally making Pigs of ourselves in 1's and 2's all over the  map.

I must be playing with blinders on because I have never noticed any difference between any side I fly on.

Same here....  All the rhetoric is the same....  All the tactics are the same....  It is more than laughable (like on the verge of peeing pants)
when you have some guys that literally believe the other two countries are scumbags..  I've heard lots of Bish/Knit/Rook hardliners say
some pretty preposterous things about people who switch sides..  I really really wish I could remember the dumb arse's name that
I heard say something to the effect that people who switch sides in the game most likely cheat on their wives.girlfriends too..
And he was totally serious.. :rofl  Oh!  He was also the guy who was part of the "old breed" and demanded unconditional respect since
he'd been playing since the days of Air Warrior..  Dammit, I really wish I could remember his handle...
I like classy, beautiful, intelligent woman that say the "F" word a lot....

Could this be a byproduct of only searching for good aerial fights without a concern for what some call chess piece loyalty?

My noted differences-(Please noone take offense as this is just observation)-

Rooks-
Better Pilots all around
So So Gv'ers
You can cap them, but they will always come back higher than you(kind of like an auction do I hear 20k, I got 20k, do I hear 22k...etc.)
Launch a pretty even mix of NOE and in your face missions

Bishop-
Average pilots all around
Great GV'ers
Never fly in real high(10-15k tops)
Lean more towards NOE missions

Anybody else care to add to this?

Getback, thanks for coming over and giving some feedback.

I agree with your analysis of us knitwits.

I also agree with this...
As I always say... all teams are more alike than different. <S>

Thats not to say there are not some differences.

IMO, the true test of how different the countries are can be seen when they have a #'s advantage or disadvantage.

I'd love to share what I think from the short time I've spent on the 3 countries, but there are a few dedicated side hoppers, and I'd have to differ to them. :aok

Aw hell, why not......Bish dominate when they have #'s, and go to blue when they don't.  :x  :rofl  :devil

I think Ano's point is that each country has it's die hard, this is war, fight for my chess piece guys, but the majority of players are the same regardless of chess piece.

WMlute, oops must have added my own thoughts in there. You were talking about a mission and I wanted to join but had to run an errand. So I never saw it develop. However, when I got back knights had captured 186 which was your target base I believe. For me it was just good ol' fun. I got to do what I enjoy most, lugging a couple of eggs around, blowing stuff up, and engaging the enemy afterwards. Jaboing is just good stuff. It's like being in a fire fight but then some one throws a grenade in the house; you dive out the window straight into a knife fight (read that in Soldier of Fortune). Pretty thrilling!

I don't mind if folks blow stuff up even though sometimes I would like to get into a skirmish. If I wanted a country to error it would be on the side of too many eggs instead of too few.

Right now I don't have any country loyalty. Just the way it is. I'm going to see how things work out.
