my jedi mind tricks work!

*Ponies are not the planes you are looking for*

Not hard to find ponies, they are more common than squeakers on AH in summer.

Only after you spend some time with a trainer, the DA is not the place to learn and you will most certainly pick up some bad habits in there.....because I find nothing but a HO fest in the DA. But it is a good place to practice Defense...........

I said duel in DA, not fly at furball lake.  Find pilots willing to 1v1 at the side bases.  (Duel)

Spend some time in offline training before you come on and play in the main arenas each night.  Gives you a little target practice and lets you make sure all your controls are working properly.

What Fugitive and Twizzty said - have patience, not only in learning, but in the fight as well. Work your plane into a better position, then kill the red guy (obviously this dont work for me, see sig for details  ;))

I'm the worst pilot ingame ya know!!!

It's all unrealistic crap requested by people who want pie in the sky actions performed without an understanding of how things work and who can't grasp reality.

Think in three dimensions, Using the vertical ...

That is what I think is the key ... at least it was for me.

Once I realized that there was a 3rd dimension that I could use in a fight and started using it, rather than fighting on the horizontal, all sorts of good things started to happen for me.

It was watching films of Leviathn and WildThng that brought about the Epiphany for me.

Each plane is like a chess piece.

Fly every plane in a combat situation learning its pros, cons and quirks.

Be gentle and coordinated on controls: wailing stall horn = bleeding speed and you don't want that in a dogfight where small differences in energy states may represent a difference between win or lose.

Have Patience !!! The "game" and "skills" take months, if not years to learn well, never mind perfect. Give it time, you'll get it all sorted out some day.

thank you for reassuring me that i wont suck at this game forever

also
use planes with 20mm hispanos

those cannons are insanely deadly and insanely accurate

be positive,  nothing is impossible if you think you can do it.   or die trying.    re-up and try again.

Ignore the "how the F$%^ did you do that hacker!"  comments afterwards , these people are narrow minded imbeciles who will never tread the enlightened path of virtual warrior dogfighter!
