No on the dual throttle.  Use the search function on the other stuff.  All kinds of threads asking the same 38 question.

And if you want to know how to wreck a 38 quickly and easily, I'm your man :aok

Fly uphill in the J an the L and downhill in the G. The L tends to be a good starter 38 because it has the boosted ailerons and dive flaps.

Spend a month or so in the 38 and I'll help you out, look me up.

I don't use the dual throttles most of the time, it can be more of a hindrance.

Dual throttles are good for;

1. Throttling down one engine to compensate for a missing wing, you can fly straight and level with this.

2. Great hammerheads, you can really squeeze every last bit of energy out of the plane and can reverse very quickly.

3. Immersion (AKAK quote).

4. Spin recovery.

5. Making great donuts on the runway.

6. Out of plane, last ditch efforts (cut one engine and roll it hard).

Correct on the 38G fighting downhill.  I'm a 38G driver and I'm always headed for the deck in one way, shape or form :)

Don't be so modest there Dan, it's usually in several ways, shapes, forms, or pieces even. :)
