Calibration loss
« on: June 01, 2009, 12:06:23 PM »
I am having to calibrate my stick, during /and/or after each sortie recently.  Anyone have this problem or possible causes.  This is a new issue for me, having only begun recently, and not the result of any hardware changes.

Plane will not stay on auto level, or auto climb, and during hard maneuvers, locks right up, without any "Do not move stick so rapidly message" or other related stick inputs on this end.  Usually plane enters a shallow dive and is unrecoverable.  (X-52).

Thank you.

1) Remove the Saitek software.
2) Kill any security software you may have running (anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-computer...)
3) Make sure all the files in the "settings" folder are writeable.
4) If Vista, and you have the game in the "Program Files" folder, just shoot your computer, or remove the game and install it in any folder besides the "Program Files" folder.

There is a little tongue-n-cheek humor in the above post.  See if you can figure out where it is.  :)

I started having the same problem !!!.  I have the usb CH fighter stick/ throttle/ pedals. Ive had them for over 6 years, I also have a new fighter stick, while i was waiting for old one to be bebuilt  . I have a 1 year old computor fast and highend , with Vista home as my OS, I installed the game in a seperate games file as suggested, it seems to work well like that.

I can go couple weeks with no problems, then in middle of fight , my stick starts to " stick " gets jumpy , it gets almost impossible to get a fix on the enemy. I have to fly out, recalibrate , then go back in fight, sometimes I may have to do that 3 times in a single sortie, sometimes just the once will work, sometimes none at all.  ???????????
