Hey all, i'm the exact opposite of an airsofting type of person.  Never been into it and never will be, but i figured I might as well have one gun to plink around with.

Friend of mine is selling his Classic Army AUG A1 AEG.  He's painted it tan (which is okay, i can strip it later) and tried painting the metal matte black (which i can strip, too).  My problem is, the foregrip has broken and is in need of replacement.  He put a rail system on the barrel and stuck on a typical foregrip, which works for the time being but I don't expect to be permanent.  And, the barrel where it connects to the rest of the gun, won't lock in.  The seller put electrical tape there and I'm not sure why, but I think that may have something to do with the barrel issue.  He's also including a soft case with 5 magazines, smart charger, battery and the attached rail system and grip.  How much do you think this is worth?

I'll post/send pics upon request.  Thanks for your help, i'm just a little newb stuck on what to do.

WOW, ummmm well a new one gose for 250 to 300.  with that i would pay no more that 100.  You will not be getting the fps (feet per second) at the state it is in and may be facing other problems.  I have a friend would owns and indoor airsoft course and fixes the guns too.  Give him a call, 316-239-6255 and ask for James.  It will be open at 5 in the afternoon.

Save your money. A Classic Army in terrible condition is most likely worth less then the smart charger and battery. There are much better options out there for plinking.

Thanks for the replies guys.  I ended up backing out right quick after learning that the battery included didn't even work.  Guy selling it wasn't exactly a brain surgeon...thanks again guys.  The A1 AUG, airsoft or not, is a cool gun, but not worth what he was asking.
