Can't go wrong with Half Moon Bay. They got a brewery right next to the Airport :)

But seriously, if you are into Sushi, they have some fine places within the city limits.

Ok back to wiseass remarks on toejam to do.

* Nike Missile base in the Marin Headlands across from the golden gate. Last intact Nike SAM site in the U.S. Believe the ROK still has a few active sites hanging around.
* Cable Car Museum. Get to see all the cool toejam that goes underground.
* The pier - look out for the moving Bush. You'll know when it jumps out at ya.
* Alcatraz - skip it.
* Boat ride at sunset - get it so u get under the gate at 6 or 7pm. Pretty good light that time.
* Get a Bay Tour at Hayward Airport. Goto California Airways - ask for Keith. He'll hook you up and say Alex Wolf sent ya.
* Monterey aquarium - nuff said.
* Half Moon bay - as mentioned before
* Try to get up to Napa to get wrecked at least one day. Take the Wine train. You'll never be drunker anytime in yr life.

Depends what you're in the mood for, tons of good food in S.F.

If you want Chinese go to;

House of Nanking
919 Kearny St
San Francisco, CA 94133

The trick there is don't order off the menu, just wait to be seated (sometimes you sit with strangers because it's a small place) and when they come to take your order just tell him how many people are in your party, how hungry you are and what to absolutely don't want to eat.  Then just wait for the food to start showing up, you get it much faster than ordering off the menu and I've liked everything they've brought out.  Best Chinese food in the city.

Or if you want a swanky sit down dinner try Bix

The House of Prime Rib was also a favorite of mine, can't go wrong with a huge cart 'o meat!

My favorite when I am in town out there is this one. http://www.onemarket.com/

It helps to get a reservation but since I am usually eating alone while traveling I tend to eat at the kitchen bar in there since you get to see what all goes on in the kitchen and you can strike up some decent conversations with the staff there as well. I also echo the recommendation about House of Nanking on Kearny. Great chinese food that is done RIGHT!

Also there is one other one close to the Presidio but I am stumbling on remembering the name. I think it was Izzy's Steak and Chops but I could be wrong. It has been about 6-7 years since I went to that one but it was great food for a decent price.

There's also Joe's Cable Car (http://www.joescablecarrestaurant.com/) was a favorite haunt of ours when I was living in Daly City, they served a pretty good burger as I recall.

I dont know if I just got bad food or what, but that place didnt impress me whatsoever.. I didnt like anything they brought us honestly and I think that place is WAY overrated.. Some people love it, but I didnt find it very good at all..

Here are some of my favorite places in the city to eat..

Mexican.. The Velvet Cantina
http://www.yelp.com/biz/velvet-cantina-san-francisco

Medditerranean.. La Mediterranee
http://www.yelp.com/biz/la-mediterranee-san-francisco-2#hrid:kF0DczbCMrHBR1FyEttrtA/src:search/query:la%20med

Vietnamese.. Aux Delices
http://www.yelp.com/biz/aux-delices-vietnamese-restaurant-san-francisco

Thai.. Sri Thai (Great place close to the beach)

Indian.. India Clay Oven
http://www.yelp.com/biz/india-clay-oven-san-francisco#hrid:jkfOxtRhcuL5clC5N_weYw/src:search/query:the%20clay%20oven

All really great food for reasonable prices..  :rock
