Like I said.... hogwash.

Steve, I know of 6 guys I regulary dualed on a 2-3x a week basis that openly told me that it is no more a challenge to them.  Believe me, they were great sticks.  The guys I dual now dont measure up to them in there hayday.  I seen a couple post there feelings on a different website.

If you want me to be cold blooded and own you like bighorn would, instead of taking a minute to fly around each other in circles first, lemme know raider.  Or maybe you didn't mean me by 'people you duel now'. I have not been on much.  :t
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

When do we want to do this? No money, maybe even just for bragging rights.

I vote for September, when all the squeekers are off to school, and all the good people are playing once again.

No money.  More often than annual.   :aok

Tell the CM team  :)  I used to CM a weekend of (3) bracket tornaments once a month in Air Warrior.  Each tornament would be a pre-announced plane model.  We also did some 2v2 tornaments once in awhile.

hey, I'm up for a good challenge.  I don't remember dueling you anyways so why would I refer to you?  I accept your challenge. I am available tomorrow or thursday and I'm pacific time.

Sort of hijack/sort of just tossing names out. I've always been interested in finding some film of Drex, Leviathan, Bighorn, and Creton. Those are the big names of the past that I've heard were "untouchable". I actually had the pleasure of working with Bighorn for 30 minutes or so when I was very new. Was aw struck by his ability.

Lol puhlease. Shenanigans

I believe you may have dueled guys that had become bored with the MA but I've been around a while and have yet to run into anyone who was so skilled that they would go unchallenged in the MA. If anyone  said that, they had very high, and very misplaced opinions of themselves.

Steve some guys have lower standards of excellence (excellence enough to get bored and quit).  And it's prolly hard to dissociate boredom with being unchallenged and boredom with AH being only a game.  I do know that for a while back in .. 02 or so, I'd come to realize that every sortie I made, I stopped expecting any real defeats.  Any single con I'd run into was going to die.

Ouch....Not trying to piss anybody off here.  Just telling you what I heard and seen.  I'll let those that saw my earlier message speak for themselves.  But think what you will.

Ok, what about (...) schotzi (spelling)

If you mean Schatzi; She didn't leave because game was no challenge anymore, but because of real life having a tight grip on her.

And I think she won't be angry about me when I say... she was quite far from being good enough that there was no challenge anymore. ;)

Another thing that comes to my mind: During the last few years, I have seen such a thread every once in a while. The lack of decent 1v1's, and the idea to get another event rolling. Often in the form of a dueling ladder. Sometimes It even gets rolling...just to die after a few weeks.

If there were so many vets that only left because they couldn't find any challenging fights anymore - would't it have been relatively easy for them to meet on a regular base to slug it out in a remote corner of the DA or even in the SEA?
This is a game, and any game can  (and almost always will) get boring, no matter what you do.Takes more time for one than for the other. But even when having always an opponent that can give you a hard fight every time, it can get boring.

Sorry raider, I'm not being clear about the shenanigans call. I'm calling shenanigans on anyone who told you they were no longer challenged in the game. I've flown against all of the past and current greats and not one of them was unbeatable. I never ran into anyone who could run the table in the MA.
