The one I'm using is an X223W.  Do you get no noticeable backlighting in really dark video, e.g. night time in Fallout3 with realistic gamma level?
I have the V223W. No noticeable backlighting issues in dark backgrounds for games or movies...Doom 3 no light source and no gamma changes.

Just looked up some reviews of the model you have...looks like contrast issues is the most common complaint...black looks gray?

I think that is Cristophe Jacquard's..... if so, definately based in france. Runs a modern russian radial engine (cant recall designation) but has big HP... like 1600hp plus.

Lucky fellow - he also owns a Spitfire (think a Mk19) .... one of the latest Aeroplane magazines had a photo of his shed / hangar at his French Chateau - spitfire next to the 190..... heaven
