« on: July 06, 2009, 05:38:06 PM »
How about some new skins for the gv`s.I know we can`t have white ones, but there`s got to be others out there.Like a desert skin for m3 m16 m8.How about some kills bands on the turret barrel.Heck I`D LIKE TO SEE ANY THING NEW FOR THE GV`S.

Why are the GVs so not-skinner-friendly? Does HTC just not want skins for those?

Most of them are AH1 models I think. All AH1 models really really suck to try to skin.

That and most people disable skins when they GV so they can see them easier. Why would anyone want to spend a month working on a skin that will hardly be used?

I always have a different skin on my vehicle,as for turning them off I`ve never heard of anyone doing that, and I can tell you if i see that stock tan skin YOU ARE DEAD! It is extremely easy to spot from almost any distance.

Actually, I think all the main-gun-armed tanks are new 3D models. The only early stuff might be the M8, M3, and LVTs. Panzers, Sherman, Tigrs, T-34s, are all new models.

Most skins.UV meshes pre greebo looked like hell, more about trying to make a game that was fun to play,vs a game that had great eye candy.

Now that the fun is here to stay and solid, its time they are focusing on making the models, uv mesh and skins to the best of theyre abilitys..and this is just from my point of view.

me could be wrong.

That is exactly why they disable other peoples skins when they GV. When you do that everyones skin goes to default no matter what they pick in the hanger. That means every panzer and tiger are those bright tan skin that sticks out like a sore thumb.

Yeah HTC "greebo" should really go and make it so all the gv skins are camo in some way to most land textures.

The only GV I have ever skinned is the Sd Kfz 251. The M3, M8 and LVT are very old 3D models and have too much mirroring and stretching to be worth skinning.
