sorry but for me if they put the bearcat or any other non combative aircraft in before we see the planes that actually fought in WW2 my interest would wane very quickly.(later once we have most of the ones that did fight maybe)
I dont like to fight japanese planes when im flying in LW stuff and i dont like fighting american planes when i fly british stuff and vice versa. It loses the feel of WW2 for me.
Since ive played in the CT (when the numbers are good) ive come to realise that when the scene LOOKS like it should it gets better and better. We lose the immersion when we fight p51s with f4us or 190s and 109s,fun though it is it soon loses its relevance to the stuff i like to read about and am interested in, namely the WW2 books and stories.
i would play in the CT all the time i think if the numbers were similar to MA.

What tipped you off? Was it that R-3350, or the clipped wings?  :D

Rare simply demonstrates the potential of the airframe, which is unmatched by any other piston engine fighter.

Widewing/GRUNHERZ,

I think that climb time record was with a full combat load. In fact I think that is what the record represents, fastest to 10K with full combat load. Will look it up.

Wells,

I have some more data that I have not posted. I'll scan it and send it. It is all post war stuff, the same as the F4U-5 data I sent you.

Mathman,

Dude, check my webpage for F4U data at the bottom. It is a 6meg download but includes F6F, F7F, F8F, P-47, P-51 etc. data. I think you will enjoy it if you are a fan of the F6F or just American Warbirds. It is data from the Vought Co. archives.
