the only problem with rockets in this game, is that cannons are soooo much more effective against buildings that using rockets fired from a vehicle is almost utterly futile..  1 tiffe could do more damage than 10 of these vehicles in about 1/10th the time.

No.. 10 251's fire enough to drop a major part of a whole town in 3 quick salvos, if they have salvo set to 6 and supplies out and ready.  Nothing comes close.

Most website are say about 5.4km (3.5mi)
I heard it was around 4km and someone else said it was like 7km.

very inacurate you would have to have a battery of 4 and even then a reload normally would take about a hour
Yes it was in accurate, but probably not THAT in accurate. I doubt shells from ships were accurate enough to destroy a water tower from the distance at which they were often used except by luck. Also they didn't have maps which you could zoom in on in 1944.

I would say +1 for the idea. But it would probably see some problems with the reload time and air attacks (you wouldn't be able to reload while driving.

If anyone makes these ranging circles, they're welcome (encouraged) to post the compiled results on a wiki page.  Or send them to me and I'll format them onto a wiki page.  It would make it that much more interesting for GV action in the game, to have true indirect arty hitting vehicle and air fields.  The location that's probably most likely to be popular is the center 3 or 6 vbases at the OzKansas TT.  Others would be those vbase surroundings where attacking GVs have a higher ground to shell from, e.g. V85 (IIRC) out on the east front (north ridge) on that map where the water's in the shape (mostly) of a lambda.

I like the Katyusha idea, but you would need massive numbers of them to be worthwhile... 50 drones?
Better yet, if ya want artillery? Then lets have some real ARTILLERY!!!
Willy Pete, would be nice to have too...

Its an old one of mine but the Katyusha could form of just a part of a range of options for the Studebaker if it was modelled with a trailer.

Some katyusha systems were trailer towed

so imagine if you just had a Studebaker with ( # ) field supplies modelled
then the trailer options could be

16 set Katyusha.
88mm artilery HE/AP
5" Artilery HE
Field supplies
