Yep the problem has to do with your object hight in AC3D...
I have had that problem before to. You can temp, solve the problem in the TE by changing the "Y" axis properties of your object in the TE.

Its getting to were I can almost predict the height required to bring it to correct elevation.

Easy once you know it....thanks for the tip!
