Angus,

I believe you where asking about info on German A/C that crashed on Iceland?  Here is what is got:

He111H-5 3900 F8+GM 22.05.41 crash in mountain, Reyðarfjörður (no survivours)
Fw200 C 0125 F8+BB 14.08.42 shootdown near Reykjavik (same)
Ju88D-5 1726 A6+EH 18.10.42 shootdown near Reykjavik (all three KIA)
Fw200C 0131 F8+EK 24.10.42 shootdown in Borgarforður (all crew KIA)
Ju88D-5 430087 A6+CH 24.04.43 shootdown near Reykjavik, (three KIA, one POW)
Fw200 C 0200 F8+GL 08.08.43 shootdown off North-coast (all crew surviving)
Ju88 A-4 xxxxxx 1H+DF 02.05.45 forcelanding off North-coast, (four crew POW by Royal Navy unit)

By the way, the one crashing into the mountain, was the victim of the eastern fog. The folk's myth however state it was the victim of a (good) witch which is buried on the mountain, and wowed that even after her death she would protect her fjords!
The one I was looking for was a He-111 and went down in April 1941.

It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

The only one that the guy knows was may 22, of 1941.  I wonder if the month was wrong on his end, your end or all around.
