« on: July 19, 2009, 04:39:01 PM »

James “Klinker” Klein passed away at his residence on Monday, July 13, 2009 at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in New Orleans and resided in Slidell for the past 16 years. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, 4 children, 12 wonderful grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. A graduate of Holy Cross High School in 1960 and a 6 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force; retired from Murphy Oil Refinery after 36 years. As an original Saints season ticket holder and longtime volunteer of the French Quarter Festival, he will be missed. He was well loved and affectionately known for his good nature and generous heart.

As Gpaw would say, "It's been a pleasure"

It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.
