Yes without Anderson does not compute.

What you think of Yes with the Anderson stand-in and with Wakemans kid on keys?

I was not enthusiastically impressed but still enjoyed the show for the most part.  I was really pleased to finally see/hear Asia play after all these years.

Haven't heard any of it, yet.  I'm trying not to let myself be too biased, beforehand.  The Bethlehem MusikFest has always been good to me with regard to lineup changes.  I saw Alice in Chains there with the replacement singer and they were great.  Saw Poison and Jethro Tull last year and both nights were great.  I'm kinda excited to hear Wakeman's kid play.  I've seen the Allmans a bunch of times now with Derek Trucks and I was not disappointed.   It was like he was channeling Duane.  I guess ya can't grow up on the road with them and not pick up a few licks.  Also as far as that goes, Bonham's kids seems to hold his own.   :D

MusikFest is just a really great place to see a show.   Great food, great venue, relaxed atmosphere in an outdoor setting.  The sound guys are usually pretty competent, also.  As long as they try to stay true to the music, I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves.  I think its going to be cool to see Asia open up for them, also.

I also have tix for the Progressive Nation tour coming to the Tower Theater next Friday.  Dream Theater is headlining.
Since Portnoy comes to the chiropractor's office that my wife works at once a week when he's not touring (for an adjustment by the doc and a massage by my wife), I have a good idea of where we'll be hanging out after the show  :devil

Asia is back together?  Is it the original line up? Asia was my first real concert :)
Yeah, they are opening for Yes and are looking and sounding Great!  Steve Howe is pulling double duty by playing Guitar with Asia and then coming out and playing some more guitar with Yes.

I was not very impressed with this version of Yes.  The singer is trying too hard to be a younger version of Anderson and his tonal frequency just isn't cutting through.  Oliver Wakeman honestly looks bored and his playing is not setting anything on fire.   To be fair, more recent reviews are giving them good remarks.

In any event Asia was Great and worth the price of admission!

I'm guessing that you've seen them already  ?    :D

One thing I can say I'm not crazy about is when tours kick off in Philly.  I feel that no matter how much rehearsal is involved, it takes a night or two on the road to get the groove going.

In any case, the 5 gallons of home brew I'm bringing to the tailgate will enhance the experience.   :aok

EDIT:  I think that this will probably be a good show.  As far as I can tell, this is the last show of the tour.  Hopefully they will give it their all.
