Yes, I must admit that our participation has not been the best over the past couple of frames.

However, whenever we do get a decent showing, rubbish things like this happen and it kills any interest whatsoever in flying in future events. That is an issue that is not limited to our squad.

LOL no hard feelings.  I do love having fun with posts that also have good timing and couldn't pass it up.
Ya's had a bad frame and it happens.  If you happen upon a pit bull of a squad and are separated from your cap just don't take it out on the CiC.  If they were in comms range you could have doubled back and called for help rather than run directly into them.  Look at the big picture and the map.  You had to concentrate on one target.  We had to do so on 10 and enjoyed doing so.

Hitting only 5 guns on CV 41 makes it badly damaged...hummm!  The Claim Jumpers did great defending her and took heavy losses by the 68th Lighting Lancers!  68KO would be proud.  <S>  Flifast

Was an interesting night and  :salute

:salute Hamblue.  Good plan and CIC control from the plan throughout the frame.  I really liked the fact that I received a Warning Order on Sunday and that allowed for the 325th and 334th to coordinate our actions via email off line from the rest of the squads.  Further we conducted our final coordination's in the tower prior to lift off.  Fencer (334th) and I didn't have any problems as far as knowing where we were or what was expected or how we would support each other.  It went off without a hitch.  In the end C16 was minus a CV (Kaga) and CA (Ise) but at a very high cost to both squads.  LCA put up a great defense at C16.  It was our "coordinated" attack that defeated the LCA defenses not in our individual squad abilities.

To the posts about no escorts:
Theres no reason for escorts not be where they are planned to be if you coordinate with them yourself.  That's not the CIC's job.  The Operations Orders isn't the end all to the plan.  You need to coordinate directly with the other squad or squads as needed to accomplish your task.  Your squad, like mine had 5 days to accomplish it plus time in the tower prior to liftoff.  I have never come across a squad yet that didn't want to coordinate their efforts prior to a mission.  But you have to talk to them and that's an "implied task" and stated in the Operations Order.

My 2 cents on that one.

It was a good plan.

I certainly appreciate you stepping up and doing the Frame 3 orders so we could even have a frame.

I think what Viper said and Hamltnblue were right on.

You wouldn't be saying that because we asked your status after being a no show last week?    :cry
In that frame the pilots you were supposed to assist in the attack were left hanging so please don't complain about support.

I don't see the need to add anything else. The community did it for me.  :salute

Every squad has those types of nights. It happens. And it should happen...to every squad. CiC should assign squads according to preference, but only if it doesnt favor one squad over another.

I should revise my previous post. It wasn't meant to be a dig at the CiC, but more of an overall frustration at how this frame turned out for my squad.
