My mic won't talk at all. No it's not broke,yes the volume is turned up in and out of game Yes it is pluged in. And yes it is a crappy vista computer.

Any help would be appracitated

Do you have it set as the default recording device? The fastest way to check is to right-click the speaker icon in the system tray and select Recording Devices. The Sound applet should popup and you should see a list of recording devices. If your system has onboard sound and a sound card too you may have more devices unavailable than you can see. Just right-click in an open area and select Show Disabled Devices and finally click on your mic/soundcard combination and from the bottom of the applet choose 'Set Default.' Now click on the properties tab for that same device and if you see a Custom tab click on it and make sure Microphone Boost is checked and on the Levels tab make sure it is set to 100%.

Next time get a good Vista computer and upgrade to W7 when you can.  :aok
