Hamblue. Good plan and CIC control from the plan throughout the frame. I really liked the fact that I received a Warning Order on Sunday and that allowed for the 325th and 334th to coordinate our actions via email off line from the rest of the squads. Further we conducted our final coordination's in the tower prior to lift off. Fencer (334th) and I didn't have any problems as far as knowing where we were or what was expected or how we would support each other. It went off without a hitch. In the end C16 was minus a CV (Kaga) and CA (Ise) but at a very high cost to both squads. LCA put up a great defense at C16. It was our "coordinated" attack that defeated the LCA defenses not in our individual squad abilities.
To the posts about no escorts:
Theres no reason for escorts not be where they are planned to be if you coordinate with them yourself. That's not the CIC's job. The Operations Orders isn't the end all to the plan. You need to coordinate directly with the other squad or squads as needed to accomplish your task. Your squad, like mine had 5 days to accomplish it plus time in the tower prior to liftoff. I have never come across a squad yet that didn't want to coordinate their efforts prior to a mission. But you have to talk to them and that's an "implied task" and stated in the Operations Order.
My 2 cents on that one.
