Flew for the 8th USAAF
and most recently the AirWolves.

Once the apple has been bitten into never again one may return to the point and shoot arena which is AirWarrior III.

Miss my squadies and the weekly squad nights but can no longer afford (time) two flight sims.

Another AW-Pilot here.

Flew AW since 1997, FR the last 18 month.
RR before that. Got disappointd they way it went the last 6 month.

If I did not have squaddies and other Friends over there, change would be easy.

Still thinking

Well I guess I'm one of the Old Dogs of the Bunch.  I started AWer back in the Dos days, on Genie Where you would fly for 4 or 5 mins. then have to reboot. (doesn't seem much has changed) Was (HOG) back then.  With Aol I used the handle (Justa) flew in FR along with jase and others.. But I'd have to say I liked euro Terrains over Pacific back then. I now fly in the Big Pac Arena On GameStorm and use the handle (Jmutt) and fly with The Eagles.
I've also flown on Warbirds and thought the flight sim was very very good for it's time.   My first impression of AH was that it's just another Warbirds.  Same people who started One just got pissed off at the system and started their own.  Only after playing it a while does one see a (few) subtle differences.  I think for the average ftr dweeb they wouldn't notice the difference and would probably take WB's over Aces just because of the no's of people playing and the  significantly larger choices of planes and eye cany that would be available.  Price on the other hand would be the big difference.
Now for the question as to whether I'll stay with Aces?  Probably for another 6 or 7 months.  I'll give HT and company the opportunity to show me the consumer what they have planned.  If I don't like the way it's pannin out, I'll take my money elsewhere.  I'll probably stay with Game Storm for the time being just because of the Eagle's and I like the Idea of Loyalty.
OH yea one other thing that will drive me away faster than skunk spray is If I see the Greed and pompus attitudes that was most evident in the I-Magic eschalon.  I got to the point in Warbirds where I was totaly disintereasted because of the Companys attitude of We're so Great and If you don't want to shell out the bucks then piss on you.

Heya Justa!  Been a long time man.  Good to see you still flying somewhere.  I lost interest in AW after they canned my aw4w's 38 and went with that acrade game known as AW3.  I will stay here and hopefully we will see the 38 soon.  Take care.

Played AW when it first came out, I think it was something like $5.00 an hour when I played...there I go, telling my age again!

Must say it's nice seeing alot of ex-aw's here :>  Been flyn here a few short weeks after quitting GS and removing AW from my HD.(which i must admit was a uplifting, almost giddy feeling to finally get that Ol crusty dinosaur ofF my 'puter)  Still waiting for HTC to remove all those 'old' beta handles, so i can get my customary one back. Been flyn here as Monk or Fist so if ya see me up say hello.

First off SF, AW has been around LONG before 1996.  It was 7 or 8 years old at that point.    I started flying AWClassic...in '96 too, on AOL.
I am or was a closed Beta tester for AW3 and am proud to be a part of that.  Hell, my name is in the book and on the CD.  So much for my 15 minutes of fame!
   Lets hit the other issues....
RBN is,  or was a member of the CMC, Cutthroats Mercenary Company.  CMC.
I joined them on 1/23/97.  Boa, was the CO then, and is HOST to many News Groups and events in the AW Community. http://www.cutthroats.com/

OK, I am an AW player.  I am K-KEN in the arenas, and have been a CMC Cutthroat for 3 years.  We fly in the FR and RR arenas and are a highly visable and respected group of pie-lets.  I think that we were voted the #1 Squad in AW in 1998.
Certainly, AH has a lot of new features, and I love them all, but remember.......we all started somewhere.  I am hooked to AH.
But I have AW to fall back to-if needed.  I love them both equally.

No kidding......My statement was that the "AOL beta started in mid 96" I never stated that AW started in '96.  I also flew in AW dos not that it counts for squat.  Just saying ya oughta read things more carefully.
