Vox and graphic hangup - New Release
« on: July 29, 2009, 02:24:03 AM »
After some tweaking with the new release versus how good I had been getting in Beta, I managed to get my graphics to run very stable from 69-75 fps. However whenever there was a lot of vox use in my range, and right after I would respond to someone, their next replies would act up and repeat their last 3-4 words over and over repeatedly, and thus locking me up for 10-20 seconds. After that everything seemed to catch back up, but I would have to go to the desktop via the windows key to get rid of the "blotchy", "checkered" graphics. I have almost all the eye candy turned down, except for the Enhanced Terrain. In my graphics settings on my video card I have everything including AA under program controlled. Under game preferences I have Max texture set at 512, with my resolution set at 1280 X 1024. I am posting my DXDIAG below, and you will see I am using a overclocked  AMD dual core CPU. So I am running the game in Windows 98/SE compatibility mode. Any suggestion to get past this lil nuisance would be greatly appreciated.

Might not be the fix but worth a try if you don't have it already.

Look for game booster while there also. It has helped my whole squad with issues ranging from low frame rates, to connection and even VOX issues.

After reading other posts I came to realize that I too was either panning around or using the clipboard while using vox when I experienced the "stutter". And although Game Booster helped out a lot, I just experienced another "stutter" problem while panning around. Think were getting a clue about what is happening here.
