i mean...is this plane gonna climb faster than a 26 or 17?  is it gonna fly faster loaded? since the 26 with 4000lbs load can get up near 300, does that mean the 88 is gonna do 350+??

whats it gonna have for defense..a 7.7 and a 13mm rear facing guns?

how many pilots regularly take 100lbs in their buffs??

Well, I don't get your point

Anyway and just for general information, Hajo Hermann wrote in his memories that he took up to 3000 kg of Bombs in his Ju 88, of course this was on rather short trips from Gerbini to Malta.

Karnak I took your post to be a whine about Pyro & HTC not modeling the 177 right now and instead going ahead with the 88. My apologies for misunderstanding.

Thanks for the apology Westy.  I shouldn't have snapped at you, but I'm prone to taking umbrage at the suggestion that I'm not worth talking to.

The ju 88 was the best german bomber wich stayed throughout the war. It was very strong and pretty manouvrable. Also the english where impressed with this plane after the got some wich had to make an emergency landing. It could outdive a spitfire.   About that someone who was surprised about that it had almost the bombload off a b17 well the b17 did not have a large bombload. Not like the b24 or lancaster wich both have two bombbaysdoors.
the b17 only had one. It traded it's bomload for heavy armanent.

modelling the ju 88 as first german bomber is a right choice, especcialy because there where somany nice variants.

I especcialy like the one where they use the ju 88 as bomb tottaly and got dropped by a messerschmidt 109 that would be super cooooooool

can we have that one too pls

The original full load of bombs the B-17 could carry was around 17,000 lbs.

Very little of this was internal however, and the excess drag from the under-wing racks was said to make it far from favorable to carrier the heavier load.
