The P47 is indeed a big plane so when I fly one i try to use the stall technique to get someone off my six.
EXAMPLE: You are flying P47 and a spit 14 speeds up behind you and are at 800 your six. pull up when they get to about 600, if they are going fast enough they will speed on by without hitting you. don't do this too often though, they will catch on.
The day no hoes would fly......

Yes but it may surprise em enough. DO THIS SPARINGLY. Although it doesn't sound good I've done this and survived before.
