Arado climb rate....."issue" ...

Up till around 8k the arado climbs just fine, then around 12k and up it climbs about like a lanc, I.E. around 900fpm, thats with 3.4 fuel and 3 1000k eggs, full power flaps all the way up . i dont know if that how it climbed IRL, but it sure doesent feel right.

What speed are you climbing at?  Jets have higher best climb speeds, since they don't lose thrust with speed.  It seems to climb best at about 250 mph TAS.  This means reducing the *indicated* climb speed by about 5 mph for every 2000' of altitude gained, or so.

Wobble, I agree.  Flew one sortie so far and climb rate seemed anemic. Almost like a Lanc or B17.  Yikes!!1 Even with Rocket assisted takeoff that didn't improve things much.  I spent the whole time enroute climbing to just 12k feet at around 150-200 mph.  

I have to admit, it was kinda nice doing my bombing run at over 300 mph at altitude.  Drop the eggs and then I'm outta there.  Without any guns ya don't want to get caught. The acceleration is SOOOOOO slow you'd better make sure you've got plenty of alitude to dive.  Even at that, some airplanes can reach speeds of 500 mph and might catch you with their quicker acceleration.  Remember, you've got two 55 gallon barrel sized jet engine intakes with that much more drag instead of a single engine prop.

Why do you think they had to have RATO?

The real Arado pilots would escape attacks by going into a long shallow dive that nobody could catch.

With a 21,600 lb operational weight (three 1000 lb bombs and full fuel) and only 3,800 lbs of thrust, a steady climb rate would naturally be low in this configuration.  Although the climb rate may be low, at 250 mph you're covering a lot of ground.  You'd have to get a Lanc diving with a steady descent to attain the same speed as a climbing Arado.
